Year of the Rabbit

Lunar New Year Capsule 2023

I was the sole designer who worked with the Senior Design Director on this largest Lunar New Year handbag/SLG collection the company has launched to-date.
Reva the Rabbit Bag

Concept Design by: Senior Design Director
What I did: CAD Renderings, Technical Design, Prototype corrections

The 4th in our Lunar New Year animal bag series, Reva the Rabbit continues to wear a Tory outfit and a Tory bag. This time, it's a red envelope clutch to represent the red money packets that were given during this time period to symbolize good wishes and luck for the year ahead. In her pocket, she carries her favorite carrots.

Embroidered Patch on T Monogram Bags

(Left to Right: Crescent Bag, Mini Bucket, Felt Mini Square Tote)

Concept by: Tory Burch/Senior Design Director
Patch Design by: Print Team
What I did: Patch placement design, Interior pocket design, CAD Renderings, Technical Design, Prototype corrections

The embroidered patches add whimsy to an otherwise serious T Monogram bag. I designed the little red packet zip pouch so that it is practical for holding cards and such, and to draw it further apart from the original T Monogram bags so they are extra special for this capsule collection.

Pixelated Rabbit Bags

Concept by: Senior Design Director
Pixel Artworks by: Print Team
What I did: Marquetry Design and Placement, Hangtag Design, CAD Renderings, Technical Design, Prototype corrections

The original brief was to try leather marquetry on these T Monogram bag shapes with the pixelated bunny artwork developed by our print team. I proposed to add the vegetable hangtags to add some color and maintain the consistency of the collection.

Pixelated Rabbit Money Pieces

Pixel Artworks by: Print Team
What I did: Concept Design, CAD Renderings, Technical Design, Prototype corrections

For the money pieces, the direction was to make it fun using a pre-selected color palette. I added little surprises for the bigger pieces, such as playing with the zip pullers, adding motifs on the interior, or have a mini story on the back on the zip card case.

Carrot Keyfob

What I did: Concept Design, CAD Renderings, Technical Design, Prototype corrections

I was inspired by a Japanese paper art book that Tory had showed us. I used a similar rolling technique that was showcased in the book to keep the carrot keyfob simple yet fun.
