Sky to Sea
Emotional and conversational items
Designing whimsical items that are the cherry on top of a collection is one of my favorite work.
Flights of Fancy
For Holiday 2021, the keyfobs that I designed were featured on the front page of the ecommerce website.
Crane Keyfob
What I did: Concept design, Technical design, Hardware design, Prototype corrections
Using a mixture of hardware and leather, the crane keyfob looks sophisticated yet elegant in its simplicity of construction.
Swan Keyfob
What I did: Concept design, Technical design, Hardware design, Prototype corrections
Taking cues from a seasonal print, the swan is designed to be white on one side and black on the other. Its wings can swing about the body to create a dynamic look.
Birds of a Feather
What I did: Concept design, CAD renderings, Technical design, Prototype corrections
Whenever possible, I minimize hardware developments by reusing existing ones in creative ways. The body of the peacock and the toucan keyfobs was already developed for a different item previously. By varying the colours and leather construction, I created brand new designs, saving on mold costs.
Tory the Toad
What I did: Concept design, CAD renderings, Prototype corrections
A reference to Tory's childhood nickname, the leather toad convertible backpack I designed was named after her. Using the same leather-covered grommet technique that I'd developed for T Monogram in the same season, the bag is taken to the next level. To top it off, a little surprise is hidden in the mouth when the bag is opened.
Raffia Tory the Toad
What I did: Concept design, CAD renderings, Hardware design, Prototype corrections
This raffia bag has custom enamel and brass beads to elevate the natural material. The dip-dye straw tassel puller and multi-color feet adds to the light-hearted fun.
Toad Keyfob
What I did: Concept design, CAD renderings, Technical design, Prototype corrections
The smallest member of the toad family, this keyfob fits coins and small items in its belly.
Jellyfish Bag Charm
What I did: Concept design, CAD renderings, Technical design, Hardware design, Prototype corrections
Abstract in the design, this jellyfish is designed to add color and whimsy to any summer bag.
Wicker Fisherman Creel Bag
What I did: Concept design, CAD renderings, Technical design, Hardware design, Prototype corrections
Inspired by real fishing creels, I designed this Summer item to be light-hearted for the season. Colorful vachetta leather was used on the main body and attached to the wicker body using a whipstitch technique. The hardware pieces were custom designed for this bag.
Wicker Fish Bag Charm
What I did: Concept design, CAD renderings, Technical design, Hardware design, Prototype corrections
In the same vein as the jellyfish, this fish bag charm uses wicker to amplify summer vibes.
Fish Bone Bottle Opener
What I did: CAD renderings, Technical design, Hardware design, Prototype corrections
Many bottles of beverages and perhaps beers were opened and enjoyed in the development of this keychain.
Turtle Burch
What I did: Concept design, CAD rendering, Technical Design, Prototype corrections
The very first critter I designed at the company, I have since come a long way in creating emotional and conversational pieces.
